I think what I find most interesting about this media fandom discussion board is that people of all ages are on it. There are people writing on this board who are just watching the show for the first time, as they have just become age appropriate for it, and then there are mothers who watched this show when they were teenagers, who are participating in this discussion and have been avid watchers since it premiered. I think that because there is such an age gap between many of the members of this board, the discussions are never ending. Each person of each different age group has their own perspective on 90210 topics, which makes the discussion never ending and very interesting. I think this is a great testiment to how successful and influential this show is if people of all ages are fans of it. It is especially significant that people are still watching it consistently starting from its premiere in 1990.

Practicum post #7
My experience writing on the 90210 board, has allowed me to discover a whole new outlet for communicating. it still amazes me that everyday as I check the online discussion board, there are so many new posts that were added less than a day ago. This virtual community has showed me that despite the topic, or your location in the world, there is almost always going to be a place for you to discuss whatever kind of topic/show/movie, etc. in the online world with many other people who have the same viewpoints. Because I've been so active on this board the past few months, people have remembered things I have said and have quoted me in their new posts; it really is crazy (and kind of hilarious) how people are still so passionate about Beverly Hills 90210.
