Practicum 6

A big aspect of Kongregate are the chat rooms and forums that are offered. Because Kongregate is an amateur gaming website intended for amateur developers to further their skills, the forums end up being real useful for them. On the front page of a lot of the games, the developer will ask the user to leave comments in the chat rooms or forums on how to improve the game or if there are any gliches that need to be brought to their attention so they can be fixed. Also, a lot of the developers will pose questions to users through the forums. One forum I saw was created by a developer who made his second version of a game and was asking people to respond with the things that they did and did not like in the second version. It's cool to see how many people will leave their comments and feedback for the developers. I've noticed that a lot of people on the site think of it more as a gaming community than just a gaming website. This also comes out in the interactions between users. A lot of the forums are also used for gamers to share tips or other cool things about games with other users. From going through them, it seems like there are just as many, if not more forum posts having to do with "how to" questions or tips for users as there are posts as feedback for the developers.
