Practicum #8- Melissa Morris

For my very last post I wanted to reflect on my project as a whole. As much as I have enjoyed the new recipes I have acquired, I am glad to finally be done spending time on Epicurious.com. I did not find my time and effort spent on the site to be worth that much. I engaged with others for aspects of this assignment but honestly my interactions with other members were not that beneficial or rewarding. I did not acquire much new knowledge from anyone and it was disappointing to see that none of what I shared was really viewed by others. Maybe this still relates back to the idea of me being a "newbie" within the community, but I had thought maybe after a few weeks or even months their would be more responsiveness from other members.

Epicurious.com is really a great site and does have alot to offer I think you might just need to make a larger effort and get more actively involved in order to have people become your fans and give you feedback on recipes of your own. I did enjoy the cooking articles and new recipes that were continously posted. I would have to say that aspect was definitely the most beneficial part. The community aspect on the other hand not so much.
