Practicum #2- Melissa Morris

Over the past few weeks I have continued following the cooking blog called "For the love of cooking". Every day I find new recipes others have shared that really interest me. Each week my roommates and I will try out one new thing I have found. Also in reference to the message board that I joined on ivillage, I have been constantly checking in with seeing what new recipes people have posted. Overall though it hasn't been very active. People have been posting recipes here and there as have I but not much action has taken place. Of the recipes I have posted all of them have yet to receive any comments.

Due to this I started looking for other sites where I could possibly find more how to's and people asking and answering questions about cooking. I wanted to look for tips people were sharing and other things people in this interest community had to offer. On Epicorious.com I found multiple forums where people post and answer each others questions, as well as other useful outlets. This site seems like it will offer me a little more opportunity to interact with others in the cooking community aside from the simple swapping of recipes. Here there are new tools for sharing and building off of each others knowledge. On this site I am still able to post recipes and share recipes with others which is a great aspect, but it just takes so step further in terms of collective intelligence.
