Practicum 7
To reiterate what most of you have already said, I am also running out of things to do my with practicum project but after doing some research i found another game that was been created using the Aris platform. The game, entitled Mentira, was created by professors at the University of New Mexico, was designed to help with the development of Spanish language skills by sending students on a quest through a traditionally Spanish speaking neighborhood. This game is the same as pretty much ever other game available on Aris, users are sent on a walking quest "talking" to simulated characters on their phone BUT THIS TIME IT'S IN SPANISH!! Sorry I got excited. While I am not sure that this is any more useful that more traditional means of studying, in fact I'm pretty sure it's not, at least it gets students out of the classroom and into the community and who knows, maybe they would be forced to talk to a real Spanish speaking person. Stay tuned for my final blog post about walking around aimlessly and getting text messages about ghosts or some shit.
