I hate when unique are ideas are complicated by even unique-r ideas. A guy I came across does screen time stats - like how much literal screen time characters get, down to the millisecond. I personally find that to be a little TOO much but hey, to each their own. I guess I'm hoping my audience will agree with me that the detail being put into it is unnecessary for what they're trying to look at when they look at my information. I think screen time information might come most in handy when looking at films, since there are no markers of splitting up the movie aside from chapters on the DVD. I ran across stats on the Scream films and thought the information flowed better with those so I'm crossing my fingers no one needs or wants the depth of detail that comes in screen time information.
Embedding photos on the website seems to be one of the most simplistic things for me in terms of writing the code, so I thought about representing the information pictorially with photos of the characters and their totals in a table set-up. I also thought about making a section of the website devoted to movie and TV posters I like and why. This way, the people come to the website for the specific purpose of getting information but get a sense of what I like and how I think. This may make the website more personal and keep the concept of random movie and TV information in play without getting too autobiographical.
