History of the Internet

I thought that the video was an interesting and informative way of showing how the Internet came to be. The beginning of the video was a lot easier to understand than the end. Since we had already gone over things like Packet Switching and ARPANET, I think I was able to follow it more. I really liked how the video linked historical events like the Russians launching Sputnik and the Cuban Missile Crisis to advancements in the computer networking and the Internet. Its very interesting to see how much of the technology we use now is a result from fears of attacks during the Cold War.

However, I did find that some of the information towards the end was a little harder to understand. Its possible that by the end I was just bored; the video wasn't the most exciting thing ever made and once it got a little confusing it was certainly harder to stick with it. Having said that, I did think that the video served its purpose of a very brief overview of the Internet.
