YouTube & Hulu

I decided to re-watch a clip on YouTube called "Black man loves Pokemon" because it is hilarious. I think the title speaks for itself, but if you really want to know what it's about watch it yourself. I don't think any description I could give would do it justice. Anyway, clip content aside, it was easy to search and find the video and not have to deal with any advertisements. Sure, the quality wasn't professional, but it wasn't grainy like a lot of videos. It was obvious the guy made it with his webcam so it had a little more lag than a better quality video would. And to the right of the video was a list of other videos made by the same guy and video responses to this one by other users.

On Hulu I watched a few clips from SNL. Of course they were of much better quality than the YouTube clip I watched, and there were advertisements. I didn't really pay much attention to the ads though. I usually have another window open while the ad plays, and then watch the video when it starts. Like with YouTube, they had recommended videos to watch after the clip finished. This usually causes me to watch multiple clips that I hadn't seen before or forgot about and wanted to re-watch.

It's funny because I think I ended up laughing more at the YouTube clip than I did at the SNL clips. Without a place for user generated content, we wouldn't get hilarious clips by regular people.
