On Snabbo I added the website creator Barbara as a friend officially and left her a message that she actully replied to rather quickly, which differs from the creators of facebook and myspace that won't reply to you but automatically make you a friend. This is the message I got from Barbara after I sent her a message saying that i love her website and wished more people would regularly go on.
Hi John,(My Screen Name)
Thanks for the kind words. Recently, I have not been able to devote as much time to building a membership base as I did when we launched last year. I have been writing a grant application to the National Institute on Aging for funds to build onto Snabbo and run a research study about Baby Boomers health and well-being. I hope to start working much harder on public relations and content after December. If you have any groups or discussion topics you would like to start, let me know and once you have created it I can put you on the Home Page. Or if you have anything you would like to promote I would love to help. Thanks again for joining and hope to hear from you again.
Best regards,
Barbara
So as I have found with many other websites is that Snabbo is finding it hard to keep consistent online flow of people and trying to balance its informational aspect that seniors seem to be attracted to the social network in which they like to use once in a while. Now that I have had a conversation I hope to continue this friendship get more friends and become more involved.
I also will go to facebook to see if i can find senior groups there.
