Youtube vs. Hulu
After not having seen this particular video in a while I decided to watch Charlie Bit My finger on YouTube. This is a user generated video that some random person decided to post. Bored one day, someone taped their two children and thought this minute long video could be a hit. On YouTube people have the freedom to post such videos as they please. Friends of mine have recorded silly videos and for the fun of it just put them on youtube for others to view. There is no filter for what can be viewed. Hulu on the other hand offers professionally generated content such as full-length TV shows, movies, etc. On Hulu I watched an episode of How I met your mother. A major difference was clearly the length of this video compared to the youtube hit. The quality obviously was different as well. Hulu being more professionally put together exceeded YouTube in quality. However these differences will not make one better than the other. Rather each site will be used dependent on what the viewer is looking for. Both of these sites are booming and will continue to cater to its audiences.

I really like your comment about there being no quality filter on YouTube. I never thought of it that way. It is really interesting to think that there really is no quality filter and basically anything can be posted on YouTube. I wonder, are there other types of filters the people who run YouTube use when monitoring posts? There has to be because obscene content isn't allowed...
