Youtube meets Hulu

For this assignment, I decided to watch "The TV Theme Medley", a pretty awesome mix of TV Theme covers by one guy who uses split screen to allow two versions of himself to appear on screen playing different instruments and singing. It was fairly easy to search for, it's now one of the top results when you type in "TV theme" in the search bar of the site. The quality looks somewhat professional, split screen is a pretty advanced video editing technique, and the camera is a pretty nice one he used to film it, but not a great one. He isn't a professional, but his videos are a quality product, as he does others similar to this using software and equipment he could afford without using it to make a living. He also has a Cartoon Theme Medley which is done in the same vain which is directly linked to it.

When using Hulu, I decided to watch the most recent episode of "The Office". The camera control of the show seems more amateur, but obviously the show is of much more professional quality of camera and with actors, etc. to boot. I normally checked Facebook or Twitter when any ads came up, so didn't really watch them and just muted during the time they were playing so I didn't have to hear them, so not really a factor for me. After viewing, they had other episodes and clips recommended, which of course I took full advantage of looking for the opening of the episode where Dwight simulates a fire drill by basically throwing everyone in the fray, so it is an effective tool as with Youtube.

Each video had their own place in my heart, and we're somewhat different. "The Office" is an episode of a show that's funny, and the video on Youtube is only 7 minutes, but still entertaining. I think I enjoy using Youtube though because of the lack of annoying advertisements, partially due to my ad blocker on my browser. I have used both and will continue to use both as long as my Netflix Wii disc continues to give me grief, and all are necessary for my full spare time enjoyment.
