Practicum 3

My experience with Aris has been positive so far but the lack gaming options is beginning to catch up, bringing me to my next quest, the exciting UW campus tour. Fairly self-explanatory this "quest" took me on a walk through our beautiful campus, touring important buildings (Bascom hall, Van Vleck, Humanities, etc.) and Landmarks (Lincoln statue, the terrace, etc). This would be quite useful for incoming freshman to go on an independent walking tour of campus and really get the experience of walking to class everyday without other wide-eyed prospects making them stand out. But as a senior that knows this campus front to back the quest provided little new experience.

Questions for the presentation:
1. Do you think that with the development of user created Aris games, Aris could become an online community?
2. With physical activity being a major component of Aris do you think this game facilitates face-face communication more so than other forms of networked gaming?
