Plants vs. Zombies

Is it weird that I actually really liked Plants vs. Zombies? I'm kindof a sucker for the simple, addicting games on the web and this was very simple, and very addictive. As it was discussed in the Juul article, as well as class, Plants vs. Zombies is a typical 'casual game.' The game is very simple--you plant plants and they shoot the zombies that are coming towards your house, and it is pretty consistent. As you progress through the different levels you have to fend off more zombies at once, but the speed and objective stays the same. It seemed like the graphics of the game were more geared toward children. There were lots of bright colors and the zombies weren't too scary. I thought this came up especially when you went "bowling" and had the explosive walnuts. The zombies exploded into a pile of ashes, which reminded me of the Road Runner and Wile E Coyote clips. All in all, I thought it was a very enjoyable game and a great way to waste some time.
