Upon Googling myself, I found it surprising that there were not as many people with the same name as myself. I guess I'm the one and only Natalie Berkley out there. I found all of my social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, Linked In, and even this blog showed up. Luckily, there are many privacy settings so you cannot really see anything besides my name. In addition, there were a few social networks for what must be another Natalie Berkley on sites like mylife.com. Though when I clicked the link, there were 8 different versions of the name Natalie Berkley and by some chance, one had a picture of me as the profile picture. Well my next move was to obviously investigate. I created a profile of my own to see what the deal was but by the time I created a new page, I couldn't find the other profile anymore so I deleted the profile. Luckily, I went back to check and again my name was not there.
The third thing to show up is a facebook group created by some friends about me, it was strange that this would appear on google in addition to my facebook profile. I guess that's web 2.0 for ya. In addition, on the bottom of the first results page, I unfortunately found public records of a court case I was involved in. I was a subpoenaed witness and my name appears for that. That is truly an unnerving fact and is definitely something I wish I could get rid of. The last things related to me was a list of the Hebrew and Semitic Studies majors here at UW.
Other things that showed up on mine were: a contact person for Parkway Health and Rehabilitation Center, an actress, a nursing home administrator, and a directory listing all females with the surname Berkley. Aside from that, there is no real exciting news about me on Google.
