Plants vs. Zombies

When I found out that we had to write a blog post about Plants vs. Zombies, I was pretty excited – I have played this game before and I forgot about it until now. In the beginning, the game took over five minutes to load – I stared at my computer screen, annoyed, watching the grass slowly unravel on top of the “loading” bar. When I finally rekindled my relationship with this game, it did not take long for me to get addicted. Although I am not a big online gamer, I spent about ten minutes playing the game, learning how to successfully maneuver the peashooters and sunflowers while simultaneously collecting sun points. Overall, I understand why people play this game – it is weirdly addicting and requires some basic strategizing. However, the first time I played Plants vs. Zombies was on an iPad and I have to say that my experiences with Plants vs. Zombies on the computer were far less enjoyable than my experiences with Plants vs. Zombies on the iPad.

  1. Kim,
I'm delighted to hear that you have rekindled this relationship. I don't think it is weird at all that you have such a strong connection with a computer game. I, too, got antsy while waiting for this screen to load. I think that it probably loads faster if you buy the game. That is where these websites suck you in, after all. No advertisements and better operating systems but a price to pay! I'm curious as to what level you got to? It seems like you mastered the strategizing, whereas I could not figure it out. Let me know!
