Googling Hannah McClung

I have actually Googled myself before because it is the easiest way to find my work for The Daily Cardinal. However, that is not the first thing that comes up. There is some track and field website where a Hannah McClung in Alabama has a pretty active profile (I don't run so that's not me!). The second thing is actually my Twitter, which is locked so they only thing someone can see if my very simple description. The third thing is my articles listed in The Daily Cardinal archives. The fourth and fifth things are MySpace profiles that are not mine. The seventh thing is my LinkedIn profile which is optimize to put on Google for future employers. And the rest of the first page are all Facebook account for other Hannah McClungs.

I wasn't surprised by what I saw. I am happy that my LinkedIn optimization seems to be working. I have tried to get my Twitter to stop showing up but I can't figure out how to do that! I always knew my Daily Cardinal stuff would be Google-able and as for all of the other Hannah McClung's, I have searched my name on Facebook and there are 8 of us listed on Facebook so I assumed some of them would come up when I Googled myself!
