Chat Roulette

I have never been on Chat Roulette before but had heard a lot of interesting stories about it. One of my friends said her sister claims to have met the Jonas Brothers on it. I am not a big fan of the Jonas Brothers so the thrill of going on Chat Roulette to meet them was over shadowed by the extreme amount of exposed penis stories I had heard. So, as I typed in the URL for Chat Roulette I was actually nervous! I didn't know what I would say to the people that popped up and I didn't know how long it would take to "next" a penis.

The first person I talked to was from France (a city I can't spell) and I am pretty sure he was 12. It was kind of awkward and there was a decent language barrier so I "nexted" him (I felt kind of bad but I wanted to see what was next...obviously the draw of Chat Roulette!).

The second person wasn't even a person...it was a screen with an advertisement for some random weight loss pill sign...boring!

Then the third person, interestingly enough it was two girls from Illinois and we had a decently interesting conversation for about ten minutes about why we were on the site. I explained our project and they were hoping to meet a celebrity (apparently there are many celebrities that sit on Chat Roulette on a daily basis...who knew?!?!).

The fourth person again wasn't a person but a white background playing some weird music...something like techno or muzak. After the fourth person I decided to stop because if I hadn't seen a penis yet, my chances of seeing one were getting very high and I didn't want to push my luck.

All-in-all, the experience was interesting and I'm glad I can finally say I was on Chat Roulette. I definitely understand why people like it, it is the draw of seeing who might be next...it is pretty exciting to possibly meet a celebrity on it or to see how long you can avoid something obscene, but it definitely won't be one of my new favorite websites!
