WHAT a riveting history...

A wise man once said, "People who disliked this video dislike the internet." And by wise man, I mean "logopod1," a commenter on the "History of the Internet" video. With all due respect to Mr. logopod1, I beg to differ. I love the Internet, but this video didn't do much for me. I thought the highlight was when the British narrator pronounced laboratory "luh-bore-a-tree."

However, I did think it was interesting that they had to accommodate the fears of atomic attacks in forming the networking structure. This shows how the Internet is multi-dimensional, and brings together commercial, military, and scientific aspects and concerns. Basically, we have atomic bombs to thank for our ability to conveniently Facebook stalk and send e-mails. Otherwise, they would not have worked so hard to come up with the nice decentralized network structure. This video also explained packet switching in a way that finally allowed me to understand it. Seriously, why did everyone know what a packet was except me?

They could have thrown some color in there to spruce it up, though. That is all.
