Hi there, My name is Maddie Meister and I'm a senior majoring in Communication Arts (Radio-TV-Film) and obtaining a certificate in Environmental Studies. Although I'm not entirely sure what I want to be when I grow up (when do you become a grown up, technically?) I hope to combine my love for the outdoors with my love for writing. This makes me think that Public Relations for an environmental non-profit could be a good route for me, but who really knows.

I'm particularly excited about taking a class focusing solely on the internet as a medium. My courses in the Radio-TV-Film tract have heavily emphasized the Convergence phenomenon and its role in connecting multiple mediums. Through this class, I hope to learn more about the internet's practical uses and possible uses in the future. As a communications major, I feel that more courses exploring the internet as a medium of communication should be offered, especially given the trend toward convergence.
